Changing your subdomain
Find out how to change your *.assistflare.com subdomain

During the setup of a knowledge base, as part of the onboarding process, you are asked to choose a *.assistflare.com subdomain to access your site via.
If you want to change the subdomain to something else, you can do that pretty easily from the settings page of your knowledge base.
To change your subdomain, from your knowledge base dashboard:
- Navigate to the
Domainlink under the Settings section from the left navigation menu.
- In the subdomain section, type in the new subdomain you want to use in the text field and wait for AssistFlare to check for its availability.
- Once it’s cleared as available, you should be able to click on
Save Customizationsto save your changes and you can access your knowledge base on the new subdomain URL.

If you are using a custom domain and are changing your subdomain, ensure you update your CNAME record in your DNS settings to point towards the new URL.
For e.g. if you new subdomain is hoolichat, then your CNAME should be updated to point to hoolichat.assistflare.com
