AssistFlare allows you to password protect any knowledge base you create so that access is limited to only those who have the set password.
Setting up the Password
To setup the password for your knowledge base, go to your knowledge base dashboard, then under Settings → General, you will find the Password Protection configuration section:
From here you can setup the password you want users to use to gain access to the knowledge base. Once you have keyed in the password, hit on
Save Changes
to save the changes.Accessing the password protected knowledge base
To access your password-protected knowledge base, when you visit the site, it will redirect you to an access page:
Enter your password and click on Submit to gain access to the knowledge base. The duration of the session will be until you close your browser.
Knowledge base access duration
Once a user is accesses the knowledge base using the correct password, the session will be valid until the user closes his browser.
If the user comes back at a later point in a new browser session, the password will need to be re-entered. If the user tries to access the knowledge base from another device, he will again need to provide the password on that device.
