Setting up AssistFlare is a pretty straight-forward affair. There are 3 steps to connecting your Notion knowledge base data to AssistFlare - let’s dive into it.

Step 1: Duplicate our Notion template into your Notion workspace

To ease the setup of a knowledge base within your Notion workspace, there is a pre-defined AssistFlare knowledge template we have created which you can duplicate into your workspace.
You can view how the template looks like here and play around with it. This is how the template looks like:

You can also duplicate the template by clicking here: Duplicate AssistFlare Template or by clicking on the 3 dots on the top right of the template page and clicking on Duplicate page as shown below:

Once you click on the above, it will open up the template in Notion.
Once you initiate the duplication process, if you have multiple workspace, Notion will prompt you to specify which workspace you want to duplicate the template into.
Choose the workspace you want to duplicate the AssistFlare template into if you have multiple workspaces

If you have only a single workspace, the template will be duplicated into the root of your Notion workspace.

Step 2: Copy your Notion public page URL

Once you have duplicated the AssistFlare template into your Notion workspace. Open the root page and copy the public shareable link of the root page.
On the Notion page:
  1. Click on the Share button on the top-right of the root page of your duplicated template within your Notion workspace.
  1. Switch to the Public tab on the popup which shows up from step 1 above.
  1. Click on the button Publish to web to make the template publicly accessible.
  1. Click on Copy web link to copy the Direct site link.
  1. Paste the link in the Link Database page of the AssistFlare onboarding flow.
Here’s a quick video of how to achieve this:

Step 3: Connect your Notion page

Once you have copied the link from your Notion workspace, paste it on the Connect your Notion page step during the onboarding/new knowledge base creation flow as shown below:
Paste your Notion duplicated template link in the field shown above.
Paste your Notion duplicated template link in the field shown above.
Once you have pasted the link, click Next to validate the link and sync the content from the template to your AssistFlare knowledge base.
Once synced, you should receive a message if the sync was successful as follows:
